Why Choose Us

The Montessori Method

If Education is to be reformed, it must be based upon the children
---Doctor Maria Montessori ---

In the Montessori atmosphere that we create and use, the children are free to learn at their own pace. The children are encouraged to have a go at each activity and challenged to use and develop their logical and problem solving skills while working on their sensory skills.

Children Centred learning

  • Indoor play: The varied activities indoors let the children feel at home and give them the freedom to choose their own activity while our qualified teachers are always there to facilitate children’s learning throughout all periods of development. The family grouping early in the morning and late in the afternoon enhance children’s sense of belonging. The activities include a wide range of fine motor, language, social play, self- help skills, logical and problem solving skills as well as messy play.
  • Outdoor Play: The vast and open outdoor play areas entice the children with its nature oriented setup. The plants, chickens, worm farm, compost bin are some of the main attractions of our outdoor area and also teach children how to think critically about our environment and help them to learn about sustainability from young age. Nature table is always present for the young ones to explore and be close to the nature while the quiet reading corner is tucked inside this serene setting to take a time out from all the usual hustle and bustle of active play. Children can choose to be creative in the art corner where there are plenty of resources to choose from.

Our Curriculum

  • Learning Areas
  • Sensorial: The child acquires clear, conscious information and becomes aware of the classification and categorisation of items in his environment while working with sensorial material.
  • Maths: The child establishes internal order, precise movement, work habit, follow and complete a work cycle, ability to concentrate, follow a process using symbo.
  • Language: The child learns language at their own pace because we believe that the learning of language is not done through subjects as in a conventional class room but through constant interaction and communication with educators and peers.
  • Geography: The child learns about the world around us through observing and working with the realistic continent based puzzles and a carefully prepared information folder that provides insight into different cultures and countries.
  • Practical Life: The child gains control in the coordination of his movement, gain independence while using his motor skill. This aids the growth and development of the child’s intellect and concentration and will in turn also help the child develop an orderly way of thinking.
  • Botany and Zoology: Child is actively involved in growing, caring for and observing plants in the class room. This prepares the child to think about the symbiotic role of plants and animals. The child learns the interdependence of all life forms and the custodial role humans must assume to protect and preserve life on earth in the Montessori classroom.

Extracurricular activities

  • Munch and Move: Munch and Move is a big part of our everyday routine. The service uses the Munch and Move as a guide to cater for children’s nutritional needs as well as getting children physically active through basic fundamental skill.
  • Show and Tell: Our Show and Tell sessions encourage children to find their own interests outside school. The humble show and tell objects are always taken into account and extended with the involvement of family and community. Our family members, a fighter fish and the tadpoles are the result of children’s interest in them.
  • Dance: Our dance teacher Ms. Anna is loved by all our children and the families. Ms. Anna Teaches the dance moves through the use of instrumental, action, miming and sing along songs and music help children learn to use and co-ordinate parts of their body while developing rhythm and an improved awareness of their range of motion. As the children have fun with Ms. Anna They become more confident by the repetition and practice of the dance movements. During the dance sessions every Tuesdays and Fridays, children enjoy simple general conditioning exercises, rhythmic appreciation exercises, movement in a circle as a group. They also learn variety of dance combinations and routines.
